CHALK Preschool
Chalk Preschool Hermosa

The quality of care & education your child will receive from our passionate CHALK educators is unparalleled. Each one of our teachers have chosen to make Early Childhood Development their priority!

Every CHALK teacher is a lead teacher. This means they all have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. CHALK administrators ALL began as CHALK teachers & progressed to assistant directors, curriculum coordinators and/or directors. Their knowledge & understanding of a child’s developmental stages are the building blocks for the most successful, loving & nurturing environment.

We celebrate and encourage our faculty to continue growing and exploring within CHALK Preschool. Our faculty and staff are continually First Aid and CPR certified. We value diversity and inclusion in our work culture and are proud that our team of college graduates is comprised mainly of women representing many ethnicities.

Chalk Hermosa Staff Madison

Hi! My name is Madison Sanello. I have been a part of the world of preschool for over a decade. I began my journey with CHALK Preschool in December 2012, back in my hometown of Chicago, and made my way to sunny LA in 2015 to continue my CHALK journey at the Manhattan Beach location. I have always had an affinity towards working with children, so I love to be able to say I truly have the best job! I believe that the formative preschool years are some of the most important years for children to develop social skills, a foundation of learning, and a zest for life as they grow. I look forward to building a relationship with you and your child!

CHALK Tarzana Staff Viviana S

Viviana S.

Curriculum Coordinator

Hello! My name is Viviana, I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Child Development. I have been an educator for eleven years and have spent the last 5 years as a teacher at CHALK of Manhattan Beach. I enjoy teaching because it gives me the opportunity to guide children through their early development and spark their love for learning! Outside of my love for the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and two-year-old son. I look forward to meeting you all!

CHALK Tarzana Staff Ms. Brittany

Ms. Brittany

Hi, my name is Brittany. I am a South Bay native who graduated from the University of Arizona. I have experience nannying and tutoring children between the ages of 2-9 years old and thrive on helping children grow. I have been a preschool teacher for 6 years now and am excited to broaden my preschool career at CHALK of Hermosa Beach! In my free time, I love going to the beach, hiking, cooking, traveling, and trying new things. I look forward to meeting you all!

Ms. Hanna

Hi, my name is Hanna. I am so excited about this awesome journey with you and your child. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior. I took electives in Education during my senior year in Irvine and through those academic classes was able to student teach at a public school in Irvine for a year. After I graduated, I taught English at a public school in Seoul, Korea. I returned home at the end of fall of 2016 and applied to a preschool in Manhattan Beach and this opened my heart to set my career as a preschool teacher. I have been a Pre-K teacher for 6 years now and I love every moment of it.

I love when I get to witness a light bulb go on in their young minds and then the look on their faces puts a smile on my face and it motivates me to challenge their minds to help them get engaged, curious, and excited to learn and try their best at anything. My motto as a teacher is “It’s not about winning but trying your best and having fun.” I look forward to allowing your child to explore their curiosity in learning, and playing and having them become little explorers ready to take on the world. I am excited to help your child to be confident and excited about learning and encourage them to not be afraid to take risks in areas they are not as confident within the safety of a loving environment.
